Who we are

We are a team of professionals with a combined experience of over 100 years in the retail, wholesale and jewellery purchasing world.
Vivien Yakopin, Graduate Gemologist GIA
After obtaining a GIA diploma as a fully trained Graduate Gemologist, in 1994 began a prestigious job at Sotheby’s, Geneva as Deputy Director of the Jewellery Department, the number 1 sales center worldwide in terms of turnover and importance. Duties included jewellery identification and valuation, catalogue production, and client advisory. In 2000 took a break, and in 2001 joined Van Cleef and Arpels, Switzerland, again taking over a very high profile position, turning it from a loss making center into the highest producing country. Duties included business and client development, museum purchases, and general daily management of 2 selling centers. In 2008 moved to London to run Asprey for Europe. Position held until November 2009 when she decided to become a consultant in market strategy for several brands, and dedicate more time to her faithful clients. In her consultancy role projects include re-looking, developing and launching brands, co-ordinating synergies between brands, supporting appropriate charities for brand image, and client advisory for buying and selling. In 2010 moved to New York and pursued a very challenging jewellery buying training with CIRCA, before moving back to Geneva in 2011 to open the Geneva office which purchased from privates as well as entire stocks in Switzerland and Italy. Involved in several charities for many years, has contributed actively on the board of Heart for India, and more recently the Fonds D’Entreaide Prince and Princesse Alexandre de Belgique, and The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women.
Eli Soleyman, Graduate Gemologist GIA
Having learned the jewellery business from his father as a child Eli pursued his passion by obtaining a diploma from the GIA as a Graduate Gemologist in 1979. In 1986 added skills by obtaining a Gem Cutting Diploma also from the GIA. In 1992 and 1999 Jewellery Design, and Jewellery Manufacturing Diplomas came to complement the existing skills. Eli has held positions in retail with Benoit de Gorsky and Alexandre Reza, introducing the latter to the Sultan of Brunei and closing the largest sale of the year. Duties included valuations, organising international exhibitions, conferences, and presentations of high value jewellery. In 2013 he obtained a Rough Diamond degree from The Oppenheimer Institute in Johannesburg allowing him to grade and value rough. His stone knowledge is unparalleled in the business. Since 2002 Eli has been designing large collections for VIP clients in the Gulf States. Eli is a keen polo player since his teens and is a lifetime member of the Harare Polo Club and the St. Ann Polo Club in Jamaica.
